Goeppinger, 89, of Ames died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Green Hills Health Center there.

The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 11 a.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boone, of which he was a member. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at Linwood Park Cemetery there. Mr. Goeppinger had lived in Boone County all his life before moving to Ames four years ago.

He had been a farm manager and had founded the National Corn Growers Association. He was an activist for agriculture and had organized numerous agricultural trips to China and Russia and other countries from 1973 to 1982. He was past president of the ISU Alumni Association and chairman of the Agricultural Committee lowa-Yucatan Partners of the Americas from 1969 to 1979. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; two sons, Hans and Neil, both of Boone; four grandchildren; and four great family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services today at the church.

RAYMOND GOBEN Indianola Indianola Raymond "Sonny" Goben, 67, of Indianola died of a heart ailment Tuesday at lowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial at Independent Order of Odd Fellows Cemetery there.

Mr. Goben was born in Lucas and had lived in Indianola 42 years. He was a foreman with Armstrong Tire and Rubber Co. and had worked for Progressive Insurance, both in Des Moines, before retiring. He was an Army veteran and a member of Masonic Lodge in Indianola.

He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean; a daughter, Rae Jean Moore of Indianola; three sons, Randy of Edmond, Steve of Weatherford, Texas, and Greg of Indianola; and five grandchildren. MICHAEL RUBY SR. Des Moines Michael W. Ruby 42, of the 700 block of East Hughes Avenue died Tuesday at University Hospitals in Iowa City of complications of heart surgery. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Lee Town Assembly of God Church.

Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Ruby had lived in Des Moines all his life. He was a carpet and floor installer with Sherwin-Williams. He performed with the Bluegrass and Gospel Band.

He is survived by three sons, Michael Casey and Lyndal, all of Des Moines; his stepdaughter, Monica Peterson of Baymonet, a daughter, Elizabeth Ruby, his father, Lyndal Ruby two brothers, Mark and Lyndal and a sister, Susan Ruby, all of Des Moines; and two grandchildren. Ruby Memorial Fund. WILLIAM HARRISON Des Moines William K. Harrison, 86, of Heather Manor died of complications of a stroke there April 12. The body was cremated, and memorial services will be at 1 p.m. today at Heather Manor.

Mr. Harrison was born in Sioux City and had lived in Riverdale, before moving to Des Moines in 1986. He had been an assembly line worker with Ford Motor Co. in Riverdale and was a member of Riverdale Reformed Church. He enjoyed photography.

WILLIAM CRONBAUGH Knoxville William Marion Cronbaugh, 78, of Knoxville died of a heart ailment Wednesday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville, with burial at Graceland Cemetery there.

Mr. Cronbaugh was born in Victor and had lived in Knoxville 51 years. He had worked for Veterans Medical Center in Knoxville before retiring. He most recently had driven a senior citizens bus and been a security guard with Marion County Fairgrounds. He was an Army veteran and a member of American Legion.

He enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He is survived by his wife, Florence; a daughter, Sandra Petersen of Knoxville; and three grandchildren. Gaulter was born in Indianola and had lived in the Des Moines area most of her life. Mrs. Longcor was born in Frederic and had lived in Eddyville since 1938. She had owned and operated Sunrise Inn and had operated Longcor Care Center for Veterans with her husband. She was a member of United Methodist Women. She is survived by a daughter, Henrietta Larson of Eddyville; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a greatgreat and a nephew that she had raised, Larry J.
