Pittsburgh Press, July 25, 1983 A-7 Greensburg Priest Raymond McLean Dies GREENSBURG The Rev. Raymond C. McLean, 73, a retired priest of the Catholic Diocese of Greensburg, Westmoreland County, died yesterday at St. Anne Home for the elderly a after a short illness. Ordained to the priesthood on May 22, 1943, he served assistantLeechburg, parishes, Armstrong County, at in Kittanning and and Uniontown and Connellsville, both Fayette County.

Rev. McLean was responsible for the construction of St. Agnes Church and school in North Huntingdon, Westmoreland County, where he received his first pastorate in December 1958. From June 1964 until his retirement in 1977, Rev. McLean served as pastor of Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville; St.

Catherine of Alexandria Church, Leechburg, and St. Mary Church, Kittanning. Rev. McLean also served terms on the diocese's marriage tribunal and as dean of Deanery a division of the diocese. He was a former chaplain of the Serra Club, Uniontown.

A graduate of Mount St. Mary College and Seminary, Emmitsburg, Rev. McLean also completed graduate studies i in education at Catholic University, Washington, D.C. He is survived by a sister, Grace Buzard of Munhall. Friends will be received at the Bacha Funeral Home 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Raymond P. Crawford Raymond P. Crawford, founder of R.P. Crawford Company, died Saturday at Mercy Hospital. Mr.

Crawford, 61, of 113 Briar Meadows Drive, Mt. Lebanon, also was president of the office furniture and supply company in Mt. Lebanon. He graduated from Allderdice High School in 1939, then served in the Army overseas during World War II. Shields BEDFORD Dr. Edward A. Shields, a physician who practiced here for 30 years until his retirement in 1970, died Saturday in Bedford County Memorial Hospital. Dr. Shields, 79, of 802 Hall Bedford, was born in Homestead and moved to Bedford in 1931.

He was on the staff of Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree; American Legion and VFW; and Bedford Elks.
